If you have to choose a first name for a cat or dog, you generally have to follow one rule: the letter assigned to each year. While this is mainly about purebred animals, others still follow this rule to find a name for their furry companion. Obviously, this is not mandatory.

This year 2023 belongs to the U. Many cat and dog owners have given their four-legged friend first names starting with this letter. Pet insurance comparator Animaux-relax has established a list of the most awarded for men and women. To do this, a survey was conducted among 5,356 dogs and 5,025 cats registered by insurance companies from January 1 to August 8, 2023.
