Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 get One UI 6 beta based on Android 14

It’s been a long time since Samsung first made the One UI 6 beta available for its S-series flagships, and during all this time foldable devices have been kept on the sidelines. Well, not anymore. Starting today, the One UI 6 beta program, built on Android 14, is available for both the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5.

If you want to enroll the Fold5 or Flip5 into the beta, you need to go to the Samsung Members app, where you should find a big banner announcing the beta at the top. If you don’t see it, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the Samsung Members app, according to some reports, and then it will be there.

Once you click on the respective logo, you will agree to some terms and then you will get the first beta as an over-the-air update. Note that this is a 2.7GB download for the Fold5 and is likely a similar size for the Flip5.

When the update is applied, the Fold5 will be at version F946BXXU1ZWJ2, while the Flip5 will be at version F731U1UEU1ZWJ2. Note that the Fold5 is only eligible to participate in the beta in the US and India at the moment, and the same restriction could also apply to the Flip5.
