Marvel fans have something else to celebrate this holiday season.
The second season of the animated series what if…? It is scheduled to premiere on December 22 on Disney+. In the spirit of the holiday season, the streamer will release episodes one at a time over the course of nine nights.
The trailer released on Wednesday, which is embedded above, offers a glimpse into some of the crevices of the multiverse that the upcoming season will explore. As the observer says, things are “getting a little twisted.”
Season two of what if…? The Watcher continues the journey as he guides viewers through the vast multiverse, introducing new and familiar faces throughout the MCU. The series questions, revisits, and flips classic Marvel cinematic moments with an incredible voice cast that includes an all-star cast reprising their iconic roles.
This season is expected to feature characters including Nebula, Hela, and Happy Hogan.
Jeffrey Wright plays the Watcher, who narrates the series, along with several MCU film actors reprising their roles.
Episodes are directed by executive producer Brian Andrews with executive producer AC Bradley as head writer.
