The US civil aviation regulator is facing a major outage, the cause of which is unknown.

LThe United States Aviation Agency (FAA) on Wednesday ordered the suspension of all domestic flight departures in the United States until 3 pm (Brussels time) to repair the failure affecting its systems, at- he said in a statement. And this, he notes, is to “allow the agency to confirm the integrity and security information of the aircraft.”

The FAA had previously announced that it was trying to recover from an outage in the information system for pilots and crew that disrupted air travel in the United States.
For its part, the White House indicated that Wednesday’s grounding of flights in the US by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was “no indication at this time” that it was related to the cyber attack.
“The President has been informed by the Secretary of Transportation of the failure affecting FAA systems. There is no indication of a cyber attack at this time, but the President has asked the Department of Transportation to conduct a full investigation into the cause,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre wrote on Twitter.
