Unannounced Beats Studio Pro headphones have been revealed in the iOS beta

It looks like Beats is about to have a rather busy spring. We already know the Studio Buds Plus earbuds are on the way (and likely soon), thanks to Amazon’s early listing. And now 9to5Mac He reports That an updated set of Studio Pro noise-canceling headphones are also working after was spotted in the iOS 16.5 release candidate that was released to developers yesterday.

Quoting sources familiar with the headphones, 9to5Mac He says we can expect more powerful noise cancellation and an improved transparency mode. the Studio 3 headphones, $350 – Apple is still selling it yet – It offers no transit/transparency mode at all. But Beats has done a pretty good job with the feature on its Solo Pro headphones released in 2019 and newer earphones. So it makes sense to achieve transparency in the main over-ear cans. The report says that we can also expect features like customized spatial audio.

The Studio 3 headphones have come a long way at this point, having been released in 2017.

The new Studio Pro will come in four colors, according to 9to5Mac, including black, brown, dark blue and white. The design looks very similar to the Studio 3 headphones, although Beats is expected to upgrade these headphones to USB-C; Yes, the Studio 3 is old enough to be charged by Micro USB.

I have to imagine the Studio Pro headphones will replace it. But if these new headphones are over $300 again, they’re going to have great competition from Sony, Bose, Sennheiser, Bowers and Wilkins, and other brands. And it has got Apple’s AirPods Max a place higher on the pricing ladder. Will Beats be able to make a good case for why the Studio Pros stand out against the field? We should have a better idea in the near future.
