Before the holiday rush, the search for seasonal workers may lead to some employers vying for talent.
Toys R Us has found a second life as it appears in new stores Opens at select Macy’s stores across the country and celebrate nine days of free events.
The toy giant declared bankruptcy in 2017 and closed all locations in 2018 as brick-and-mortar locations suffered from declining sales. Messi was announced its partnership with WHP Global, Owner of the brand Toys R Us, in the summer of 2021.
Macy’s is beginning to open new Toys R Us locations in 451 stores ahead of the holiday season to take advantage of the most lucrative time of the year for retail, with its wide reopening on October 15.
New locations include Macy’s flagship location in Herald Square, New York City. So far only Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, and Wyoming have no available locations.

The deal remains virtually exclusive, with A pioneering two-story location inside the American dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Previous reports indicated that in-store stores could accommodate between 1,000 and 10,000 square feet, with Larger spaces in the main sites. The Herald Square site will be 8,000 square feet, while the Valley Show site in Santa Clara, California will occupy 7,000 square feet.

The opening of locations across the country on October 15 will also begin with a nine-day celebration of free events, including Barbie Day, Fisher-Price Day, Jeffrey’s Birthday, Play-Doh Day, Pokémon Day, and Lego Day, among others, Axios reported.

Each Toys R Us store will feature fun colorful fixtures, hands-on display tables for customers to interact with assorted collections of toys and a life-size “Geoffrey on a Bench” photo opportunity for families.
