ASUS RTX 4060 Ti With 16GB Memory Ends Up Pricing Than NVIDIA’s RTX 4070
ASUS is preparing for the imminent release of its latest graphics card, the RTX 4060 Ti with 16GB of VRAM. However, the pricing details revealed so far do not bode well for consumers.
According to official information, the RTX 4060 Ti series, which is equipped with 16GB of memory, will be $100 more expensive than the 8GB variants. NVIDIA has set the price for this particular model at $499, while the currently available card retails for $399. It’s been common for ASUS ROG STRIX models to command higher prices on each release, making NVIDIA’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price a pipe dream for many buyers interested in the ROG STRIX series.
The ROG STRIX RTX 4060 Ti 8GB is no exception, currently selling for an outrageous $489. This price point is simply unreasonable for a card with a 128-bit architecture at this point. However, ASUS’ pricing strategy will also be affected by NVIDIA’s change in MSRP for the 16GB model, which could push the price up to $600 if information from IT prove accuracy.
It has been reported that the ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 4060 Ti 16GB variant will be priced at CNY 4,699, just 100 yuan shy of the RTX 4070, which retails for 4,799 yuan for the Founders Edition. However, it is important to note that this MSRP does not apply to custom AIB models any longer. The RTX 4070 can currently be found for CNY 4,400, making ASUS’ 16GB model still more affordable.

According to reports, board partners have expressed concerns about the challenging sales prospects for the RTX 4060 Ti which features 16GB of memory, mainly due to its high price. The situation could be more dire than NVIDIA anticipated, especially with offerings like those from ASUS.
