Courteney Cox shared what her relationship with her late wife was like friends Co-star Matthew Perry continued after his death.
In conversation to CBS Sunday MorningCox reflects on 2024 marking his 30th anniversary friends the first show. She told Vigliotti that throughout her 10 years on the NBC sitcom, her co-stars were her “family,” going through “everything” together.
Commenting on Perry, Cox said: “I think he is one of the funniest human beings in the world. He is very funny. He really [got] Huge heart. [He] “She obviously struggled.”
The actress then said she was “so grateful” to have “worked so closely with him for so many years” and maintained the connection with her co-star’s spirit.
“He visits me often, if we can believe it,” she said. “I talk to my mom, dad and Matthew. I feel like there’s a lot of people out there… and I think they’re guiding us.” Cox added that she feels Perry’s spirit “is definitely there.”
Perry died on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54, due to the acute effects of the anesthetic ketamine. Weeks after his death, Cox wrote a tribute on social media, recalling her decades-long friendship with her former co-star.
“I am so grateful for every moment I have with you Matty and I miss you every day,” she wrote in a comment on an Instagram post.
“Lifelong beer expert. General travel enthusiast. Social media buff. Zombie maven. Communicator.”
