One Life to Live star Amanda Davies, who played the teenage version of her real-life mother Erika Slezak's character, Victoria “Vicki” Lord, on the long-running ABC television series, has died. She was 42 years old.
Slezak (77 years old) confirmed the news of her daughter's death Home page of its official website.
“It is with great sadness that I share with you the news of the sudden death of Amanda Elizabeth Davis, Erica’s daughter, who passed away,” a message posted on Monday said. “The family is heartbroken and would appreciate privacy at this time.”
At this time, the cause of death has not been revealed.
The Post has reached out to representatives for Davis and Slezak for comment.
Born in 1981 to Slezak and his husband, Brian Davis, Davis is an actor known for his roles in “American Gigolo” (1980), “Convoy” (1978) and “The Age of Innocence” (1993).
Slezak played Vicki for a decade on the series One Life To Live from 1971 until its TV finale in 2012. Davies played Vicki in a series of flashbacks in 2002 and 2013, when the series was briefly revived as a web series .
Slezak won a record six Daytime Emmy Awards during her four decades as Viki.
This is the second death to hit the “One Life to Live” family in less than two months.
Puerto Rican actor Camar de los Reyes, who played police officer Antonio Vega, died at the age of 56 on Christmas Eve after a short battle with cancer.
Davies leaves behind her mother, her 85-year-old father, and her 43-year-old brother, Michael.
