Selim Fourniret, the son of serial killer Michel Fourniret and his ex-girlfriend Monique Olivier, was taken into police custody in Nice on Sunday for the attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl, we learned from the Nice Parquet floor.

According to Le Parisien, which revealed the information, Selim Fourniret, the couple’s only son, was taken into police custody in 1988, a year after their meeting, after alleged actions in an elevator on Sunday morning. He was arrested by Public Safety after fleeing, the newspaper reported.

Selim Fourniret, whose parents divorced in 2010, has been living under an assumed name on the Côte d’Azur for years, the newspaper noted.

Michel Fournieret, who died in Paris on May 10, 2021, was sentenced to life in prison for killing seven young or adolescent girls between 1987 and 2001.

Monique Olivier, 74, was originally sentenced to life in prison for being an accessory to four murders and gang rape by Michel Fournieret. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison for being an accessory to a fifth murder, this time brutal, by the killer.

A few days earlier, on June 23, the justice asked him to be dismissed for complicity in the kidnapping of Estelle Moussin in 2003 and the kidnapping and murder of Marie-Angel Tomás in 1988 and Joanna Parrish in 1990.
