“I'm just Ken” was booed during the Oscar nomination announcement

As expected, Barbie It was one of three films that dominated the 2024 Oscar nominations reveal, but it seems that not everyone was happy with the film's success.

Actors Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid announced the nominees for the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday. Barbie It was nominated in eight categories, including Best Picture, Best Costumes, and Best Production Design.

The film's signature song “I'm Just Ken” – performed by actor Ryan Gosling – was nominated for Best Original Song. However, one audience member was clearly not happy with this choice, and booed loudly.

Fans watching at home took notice, and shared their thoughts on social media.
