Customers order scrambled eggs for breakfast. There is one problem

A server revealed her brunch horror story in a skit after some customers tried to order scrambled eggs at a restaurant.

The video featured TikTok user Syd (@poorandhungry) posting skits about restaurant life to her 256,000 followers. In her latest TikTok, she reenacted an interaction at a “lunch spot” where she works, in which she took on the role of both server and customer.

“Hey guys. “Thank you for coming to a breakfast place that has a really disgusting menu that our customers don't like and are constantly having problems with,” she began. “What can I get you started with today?”

As the customer, Sid places an order for bacon, toast, and scrambled eggs. Immediately, this causes a problem.

“Everything is cooked in the oven,” she says as a maid. She then explained that the owner, who was sitting at another nearby table, strictly forbids scrambled eggs in the restaurant.

However, she says the restaurant can make eggs “every other way on the planet.” After the customer forcefully asks for eggs, the waiter approaches the restaurant owner to take his order.

She met the curveball.

“Yes, hello, there are seven of us. All seven of us will do scrambled eggs,” the owner says to Sid. Sid's confusion irritates the owner, but his conflicted answer confuses her even more when she asks if the menu now includes scrambled eggs.

“No, I've been here three years, and you know we don't make scrambled eggs. But, we “I'll make scrambled eggs,” the owner says.

To satisfy other customers who want scrambled eggs, Syd asks if she can order eight scrambled eggs instead.

“Oh my God, can you bring Brad over here?” The owner says angrily. “Because you obviously need to undergo more training.”

The video concludes with the server repeating the slogan “I love my job.”

Syed expresses her frustration in the caption, saying, “We love an owner who puts the rules he breaks in front of customers.”

The Daily Dot reached out to Syd via TikTok comment and direct message. The video had more than 852,000 views as of Monday, sparking outrage from viewers as they shared what they would do if he were the server.

“This would drive me crazy. Log out forever!” one viewer wrote.

“When the owner said you know we don't do that here…I'd say yeah exactly, you can't ask for that,” another person shared.

A third commented: “I was going to go straight back to the other table and tell them what he just said.”

Furthermore, others revealed their own similar experiences of hypocrisy.

“My previous employer was like that. They want everything the way they want it but not for the restaurant,” one user said.

This has happened to me. “No burger after 5pm, 5 burgers walked past me to the table…the waitress apologized to me as they were the owners,” commented another.
