Major League Baseball Commenting one game for Chicago White Sox Tim Anderson shortstop after pointing his middle finger at a fan in Wednesday’s 11-1 loss to Cleveland Guardians.

Anderson, who struggled in the match with two fouls in the first two innings, flipped a finger on a fan while on the field. The league issued an undisclosed suspension and fine, but Anderson intends to appeal his suspension.

He said after Friday’s match via the New York Post. “There are a lot of people who really look up to me. I take full responsibility for what I did. But this is something I have to learn from and develop from.”

He continued, “Sometimes you will react differently. This was one of those moments when I reacted differently.” “But, like I said, I’ve learned from her. I’ll go on and grow from her. Just keep being me and shut it down again and keep learning.”

Anderson made his sixth mistake in three games when he took a throw to number one on Carlos Correa’s Friday night single in which Ryan Jeffers scored from third. Correa may have stepped on Abreu’s gauntlet while trying to grab the ball, ripping it off Abreu’s hand.
