CBS is “looking forward” to a significant move from its aging broadcast facilities on West 57th Street. Sources said the network, which merged with Viacom in 2019 into what is now called Paramount Global, is expected soon to file a solicitation for proposals on two fronts.

One might be the sale of CBS’s sprawling 600,000-square-foot Broadcast Center on West 57 between 10th and 11th Avenues—the old site of the dairy, where CBS has had a presence since the 1950s.

The RFP will also seek a new Manhattan location for the network’s broadcast home.

The ideal scenario would be to find one owner to buy the 57th Street enclave and rent or sell the space he owns elsewhere to CBS to meet the network’s production needs.

CBS may not need as much space as it does now since many entertainment shows have moved elsewhere.

But moving any size would mark the end of an era for the network and the Far West Side.

CBS considered the sale several times before and after the Viacom merger.

The Post reported that it recently considered a sale to raise funds in 2019, but instead sold its headquarters tower known as Black Rock.
