While many people might consider GOTY at this point to be the one that takes the crown at The Game Awards, there are plenty of other award shows, and of course individual tier lists for sites or creators.

But no Golden steering wheel It’s a very big game, and the list of winners suggests there’s a big favorite in the biggest GOTY season. Baldur’s Gate 3 won the show’s “Ultimate GOTY” award, along with six other categories.

Critics love Alan Wake 2, and despite the lone win here, since the Game Awards are a large number of critics voting, it seems likely that the main contender will be the one that will take on Baldur’s Gate 3 for the GOTY. However, it’s very hard not to see Baldur win. I mean, look at this sweep.

How true is Golden Joystick with their previous choices? Draw your own conclusions. Elden Ring won the 2022 GOTY, Resident Evil Village won the 2021 GOTY, The Last of Us Part II won the 2020 GOTY, Resident Evil 2 won the 2019 GOTY, Fortnite won the 2018 GOTY, Breath of the Wild won the 2017 GOTY and I’ll probably stop At this point. I think they really like Resident Evil, huh.

I’ll reveal my pick a bit here, but yes, I expect Baldur to take home the grand prize, along with at least a few others on the Game Awards, but she’ll likely get a lot of other lists as well.
