It looks like Patrick Mahomes will enter the Super Bowl no worse for wear after winning the AFC Championship on Sunday.
per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler: “The indications are that Patrick Mahomes exited Sunday’s game without any major setbacks due to a sprained high ankle. He was told he was in good shape after the game.”
The NFL world responded to news of Mahomes’ injury on Tuesday.
“And now he’s got two weeks to cool down. He’s going to be good,” said one fan.
Another affirmed “If he wins this SB he is already bigger than Brady”.
“His ankle is fine. He’s been banging it for the cameras,” one user claimed.
Another responded: “He still plays with a high ankle sprain and that won’t change in the next 12 days.”
“Ankle sprain.” Hope it gets better. I’ve never seen a high ankle sprain that only affects imperfections. It must be bad. “
Fowler continued, “All things considered. His ankle is still high, less than ideal. But he’s progressing.”
Mahomes was limping noticeably throughout the game last weekend.
Hopefully, more time will allow his ankle to heal more by kick-off.
