Where is the Russian Defense Minister who has not been there for weeks?

IOn Thursday, the Russian defense minister told President Vladimir Putin that he had informed President Vladimir Putin about the evolution of the conflict in Ukraine, and that Sergei Shoaib had not appeared in public for two weeks.



During a meeting of the Russian Security Council, the Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian companies that “Shoiku reported on the progress of special military operations.”

Earlier, the latter, in a press conference, dismissed media speculation about the health of the minister, who had not appeared in public for about two weeks.

“The defense minister has a lot to do now (…) and it’s not really time for media action,” he said.

Sergei Shoiku is usually the most familiar face on TV screens. He and Vladimir Putin regularly travel to the Siberian taiga, driving all-terrain vehicles, drinking tea or picking mushrooms.
