LUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday criticized US billionaire Elon Musk’s controversial peace plan proposal to end Russia’s aggression in Ukraine and called for him to visit his war-torn country.

Elon Musk sparked controversy on Twitter in October with a proposed peace plan between QU and Moscow. The American billionaire specifically suggested that Crimea remain an integral part of Russia, but that Ukrainian regions “annexed” by the Russians organize new referendums under UN supervision, giving Ukraine the status of a neutral country.

At an event hosted by The New York Times, President Zelensky scoffed at the maverick billionaire’s plan, saying he should come to Ukraine instead. “I think somebody has leverage over him or he’s making decisions on his own,” Zelensky said in a New York Times Dealbook video conference call, referring to Elon Musk.

“If you want to understand what Russia has done here, come to Ukraine and see everything for yourself,” Zelensky said. “Then you will tell us how to end this war, who started it, and when it will end. »
