Exclusive: There is a change in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
AD Miles, who was previously a head writer on the NBC show and also worked with Fallon in late Time of night, He returns to the show as head writer.
Mason Steinberg, who was appointed to the role last year, is leaving.
Miles has a long history with Fallon. He was chief writer for Late Night with Jimmy FallonWhich was broadcast between 2009-2014, then moved with the first SNL star for tonight show, Where he was the main writer between 2014-2017. In all, he wrote for more than 750 episodes of late-night television with the host.

He has also performed as a member of The Ragtime Gals Tonight showwhich also included help from the likes of Justin Timberlake and Steve Carell.
After working on Tonight showMiles returned to Los Angeles to pursue other opportunities. He was the head writer on ABC’s reboot of Gong show He has worked in series such as: Hot wet american Summertime, Sherman Gallery, Between Two Ferns: The Movie As well as in the animated series on Netflix Hoops.

Steinberg joined the show in 2022 as head writer, having written for a slew of awards shows including the CMT Music Awards, MTV Movie & TV Awards and E! People’s Choice Awards.
