The famous YouTuber known as the comedian was 40 years old

Ben Potter, the popular YouTube personality known as Comicstorian, died on June 8 in what his wife, Natalie Potter, described as an “unfortunate accident.” He was 40 years old.

Details of his death, including the exact cause and location, were not revealed in his wife’s statement on X.

With over 3 million subscribers and nearly 4,000 YouTube videos over the past 10 years, Potter, as a comic book creator, has built a loyal fanbase through original comic book audio dramas. In numerous YouTube videos, he discusses and analyzes aspects of the Marvel and DC Universes.

“For many of you, he was a comic book creator, expressing stories across multiple different mediums,” Natalie Potter wrote. “To his loved ones, he was one of the best, most supportive people anyone could ask for.

She continues, “As a husband, a son, a brother, a friend, or even just a stranger, Ben was loving and honest. He was someone who listened and made time for his loved ones. He would go out of his way to make everyone laugh and make sure they were okay. He was our rock and would reassure his loved ones.” Whenever they need it.

His wife described the Potter Channel as “one of his greatest achievements”, and pledged that she and the Potter team “want to continue it” in order to “honor him by continuing to tell the wonderful stories of great people, and also to preserve the memory for our generations.” A very special superhero is alive.
