WWE RAW star Zoe Stark says she doesn’t know who came up with the idea of forming a partnership with Trish Stratus.
At the Night of Champions Premium Live Event, the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion helped the former WWE Hall of Famer defeat Becky Lynch. She attacked the man at ringside while the referee was distracted, giving Trish the advantage.
The following week on RAW, the heels attacked Lynch, leaving her lying in the corner with a “Thank You Trish” T-shirt over her.
During a recent interview with Talk of women’s wrestlingZoe Stark states that she would love to work with Trish Stratus but has no idea who he is to team up with.
“Honestly, I don’t know (whose idea it was to set me up with Trish Stratus). If you’re asking legitimately, I really don’t know but whoever came up with the idea, thank you, because I love it. Trish and I, we get along great, and we’re having a great time.” She is great and guides me and gives me good advice,” Stark said. [H/T POST Wrestling]
Zoe Stark says she looked up to Trish Stratus growing up
The 29-year-old was a fan of WWE growing up, and Trish was one of the stars she admired and looked up to. She was also a huge fan of Victoria.
Zoe Stark said TMZ Sports It was Stratus who made her believe she could headline shows and events in WWE.
“Yeah, sure, you know, I was a huge Victoria fan. I felt like I could really relate to her a lot. But the person who really made me feel like I could do that in the main event was Trish Stratus. She had that main event match on RAW with Lita And for me, that’s what made me realize that I can do this and I can do major things and I can be one of the best people out there.”
Zoey Stark is currently set to compete in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match after she defeated Natalya to qualify for the match. It will be interesting to see if she wins the contract.
