Coachella 2024: Fans rush as gates open on the first day of the festival
The gates opened around 1:20 PM on Friday to welcome the first fans to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Just as was rumored earlier this week, Taylor Swift chose to use an empty space in her schedule this weekend to attend the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival to support her boyfriend Jack Antonoff.
It became clear when Antonoff's band, the Bleachers, performed a lively set at the Mohave Tent at Coachella on Saturday night, and many attendees had their phones trained not on Antonoff, but on the left wings.
That's because there, in the haze of a smoke machine, stood two figures with the body size and musical enthusiasm to match Taylor Swift and her Kansas City Chiefs player boyfriend. Travis Kelsey. It quickly became clear that they were the world's biggest power duo joining the band led by Swift's old friend and collaborator Antonoff. Long-standing rumors that the two were attending the first weekend of Coachella have been confirmed.
While fans in the right corner scrambled to take a photo or video of the two, Swift and Kelce danced and pumped their fists to the peppy Bleachers set.
There was no mention of them during the set, nor did video cameras catch them in the background, but eagle-eyed fans quickly recognized their presence, thanks mostly to the bright white baseball cap and large glasses Kelce wore.

Antonoff is one of four artists on the Coachella lineup that Swift has worked with. After she didn't appear on stage with Eras Tour (international leg) opener Sabrina Carpenter or “Snow on the Beach” collaborator Lana Del Rey yesterday, a lot of people wondered if Swift would appear at all, but Swifties will be happy to know she and Kelce seems to be living their best life as a spectator this weekend.
