Sony Bend is distancing itself from the former director, thanking fans for supporting Days Gone

These messages, after becoming viral, are set to private. And now Sony Bend, Game developerShe released a statement, distancing herself from her former employee.

In a public letter dated TwitterThe studio said, “We are aware of comments made by our former Creative Director of Days Gone regarding his critical reception of our intellectual property. Bend Studio does not share his opinion nor reflect those of our team. Our studio is extremely proud of the work we have done on Days Gone, and we thank every developer who submitted their heart and soul in it.”

The statement continued, “We are incredibly humbled by the support of our Days Gone community and will continue to share your enthusiasm for our world and characters as we look to the future.”

In his Twitter tirade, Garvin — a former studio veteran who also played a key role in creating siphon filter series – apparently blaming Days Gone’s critical reception on its programming team, also claiming that “awakened reviewers” simply “couldn’t handle” the release’s contents.

Garvin left the developer two years agoAnd the Sony Bend is currently working on a new intellectual property for PS5 that will “build on the deep open world systems” first explored in Days Gone.
