Panthers vs. Bears, highlights, news, spoilers, and live updates

The Carolina Panthers face the best and worst situations in the NFL this week.

They lost to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, but they didn’t have to wait long because they play on Thursday this week. Unfortunately, a four-day shift doesn’t leave much time for players to recover from injury (or just general wear and tear during play), and the Panthers are already struggling with injured players (they currently have 12 players on injured reserve).

The Panthers, who had just one win in eight attempts, had to address all of that by Thursday, before facing the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Fortunately for the Panthers, the Bears have problems of their own.

While Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young has been doing a decent job (albeit not at the level of Houston’s CJ Stroud) and improving over time, the Bears have been in quarterback purgatory. Justin Fields hasn’t played since Week 6 because of a thumb injury, and the Bears have started rookie Tyson Bagent in four straight games (including Thursday night’s contest). Fields was officially ruled out again on Thursday, and it’s unclear when he will return.

The Panthers may struggle at 1-7, but the Bears fall behind at 2-7. Who will come out on top?
