Niantic removes reference to Pokemon Go Master Ball limit after releasing new research

Niantic has removed the Help Center reference for the maximum number of Master Balls you can carry in Pokemon Go after releasing a search to get a second one.

One of the most sought after items in Pokemon has always been the Key Ball. Sure, players catch anything, and tend to save it for a rare catch.

The Rare Ball was added to Pokemon Go in July 2023, and some Trainers have been saving the Rare Ball in an attempt to store several at once.

In the help center In the section that lists “item types and their effects”, there is a section that mentions Poke Balls and how they work.

At the bottom of the first paragraph, it was previously said: “The Master Ball is a very rare and special type of Poké Ball with a 100% catch rate. Note that you can only carry one cue ball in your bag at a time.”

This means that before you can obtain the cue ball provided by the last timed investigation, you must use the cue ball you have if you have not already done so. Fortunately, Niantic has since removed any reference to this.

The latest quest, Timed Investigation: Master Ball, offers a wide range of somewhat difficult quests to complete in order to obtain the Master Ball a second time.

Many have expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the missions, as rural players will have problems completing the required number of raids.
