Jussie Smollett He continues his life with good friends in his corner like Taraji b. Henson – although, in fact, he is far from the world of law.
The beleaguered actor was in LA on Saturday with his former Empire costar during what appeared to be an outing — or at least, an active thing. Anyway, they visited a small restaurant right after that…then parted ways with a sweet little hug goodbye.
A couple of takeaways here… one, Taraji continues Stand by Josie – which I have done since the beginning of this story. So, her support is unwavering.
The other note one can make from this is that Josie is really trying to move on and put the whole Chicago affair behind him by bobbing up the West Coast… This is despite the fact that there is a constant appeal, which he may very well lose once he hears it in court.

As you may remember, it was Josie convicted in December 2021 for lying to police about a hate crime that was allegedly committed against him – and he was to rule to 5 months in prison.
He had already started taking that time, but it quickly spread pending its appeal …which his team provided almost immediately. Since then, he’s been free to roam, it seems, and the case is still drawn out – with a recent hearing just last month…but no real update.
No word on when exactly we’ll get some closure on this, but in the meantime… Josie’s been busy working on movies and whatnot. Actually, it was recently Seen on set with nothing else Vivica A Fox – another defender of him.
If Josie loses his appeal, he will go straight back to jail and have to complete the remainder of his sentence. It’s a scary fact, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from his behavior.
