Jimmy Fallon Apologizes to ‘The Tonight Show’ Staff After Bombshell Report – Deadline

Jimmy Fallon has admitted guilt to his staff after a report highlighted the “very depressing atmosphere” at the hotel. The Tonight Show Over the years.

Deadline understands that Fallon spoke to employees this afternoon after Rolling Stone published an article calling the NBC show a “toxic workplace.”

“I’m sorry if I embarrassed you. I never planned on creating this kind of atmosphere at the show. Sometimes I think I’m working with the best of the best, you guys are at the top of the game.”

He admitted that he had done “embarrassing” things in the past. “I want this show to be fun, and it has to be inclusive, and it has to be funny, and it has to be the best show, and the best people. I just wanted to say I miss you guys.”

The article described Fallon as “eccentric” at work and noted that he was “drunk” and hungover during work hours, with seven former employees saying their mental health was affected by working on The Tonight Show.

The claims, which Rolling Stone spoke to 50 former and current employees, have put a number of presenters in the spotlight. The Tonight Show Passes including Josh Lieb, Jim Bell and Gavin Purcell.

Jimmy Granit Biederman has come in for much of the criticism, with sources telling Rolling Stone that the executive, who left in March 2022, bullied and abused employees.

It is understood Miller sent an email to staff earlier today. He said he was “lucky” and “proud” to work with these employees. “I don’t think what is written reflects the general culture of our exceptional team,” he wrote. “The place described in the article is not the place I know. It does not reflect the positive and inclusive environment I believe we have created together.”
