How to get a rogue invitee from Varshan to fight against the malicious Echo of Diablo 4

I’ve been getting through Diablo 4’s season of the Malignant pretty smoothly for most of the past couple of days, but once the seasonal story was over I ran into an issue that I wasn’t sure how to fix.

At the end of the story, you get something called an Invoker of Varshan, which the game tells you you can use to fight the Echo of Varshan, and it’s basically a replay of the boss fight. He was found behind a certain door at the end of some sinister tunnels.

But if by the time you beat the story you’re at world level 3 (which many will be), you’ll open that door and your Invoker won’t work. You need something called Foul Invoke of Varshan, which won’t appear on the crafting table either.

what’s going? It’s a slightly strange situation. To fix this problem, you need to do something that the game does not say at all. You have to fall back to world 1 or 2, go back to the sly tunnel and re-do the whole process, this time actually being able to invoke Varshan with your Invoker.

then This will unlock the ability to fight a Varshan at World Level 3 after you craft a Foul Invoker, which uses a normal Varshan Invoker plus some Sigil Dust. This fight is much more difficult, so be prepared.

Here is a map of the location of the insidious tunnel containing Bab Farshan. I think there are a few tunnels around the map that can access him, but definitely not all of them.

I have no idea why this is structured this way and it sure seems like an oversight. There is nothing telling you that you need to beat this at global level 2 first, it just tells you that you need an upgraded version of Invoker with no real path to getting it.

I also assume the next level is correct, to get the ability to craft the next type of Invoker, you’ll have to beat Varshan at level 3 world first. It obviously takes longer to get to world level 4 so you might have already done it by then, but just in case I’m sure it’s the same.

We hope this helped you out of the jam and enabled you to complete a few more seasonal rides.
