“Home Alone” actor Ken Hudson Campbell has launched a GoFundMe to help pay for cancer surgery

Ken Hudson Campbell, best known for playing Santa Home AloneAnd also kissing Bill Murray hard daywas recently diagnosed with cancer and his family began to live GoFundMe A campaign to help pay for the surgery he had to fight the disease.


“Ken Hudson Campbell is a film and television actor, accomplished voice actor, stand-up comedian and has been a card-carrying union member for over 35 years,” his daughter Michaela wrote on the fundraising page. “On October 27, 2023, Ken was diagnosed with cancer, and the tumor grew out of reach at the bottom of his mouth and began to encroach on his teeth.”

Campbell is undergoing surgery to remove “a large portion of the jawbone” and rebuild it, which will result in six months of recovery and chemotherapy. A GoFundMe account — which is approaching its $100,000 goal — has been set up to help cover Campbell’s out-of-pocket medical expenses while he recovers.


Famous friends like Steve Carell, Jeff Garlin, and Tim Meadows have already helped, along with Carell, a Second City alumnus, to popularize “I love you, Ken.”


“Ken Campbell is a family man. A loving father of two with an amazing lust for life and passion for acting, writing and sports,” the GoFundMe post said. “It is possible that this action could impact his ability to work as an actor in the future. We are asking for your help so that Kenny can use the upcoming time to return to health and spend more time with family and friends. Every prayer, positive thought, dollar, or gesture of support means the world to our family.
