“Israel is a country that has no place in our land. We must get rid of this country because it is a military, political and security disaster for the Arab and Muslim nation – it must end. We’re not ashamed to say it. We say this with full confidence,” a Hamas spokesman insists in this interview, dated October 24.
According to Kazi Hamat, “Israel must be taught a lesson, but it will not stop there. Israel must be destroyed.”
“Al-Aqsa flood (October 7, editor’s note) is only the first. There will be a second, a third, a fourth,” explains Hamad. “Are we going to pay for this? Yes, we are ready to pay it,” he repeats. “We are a nation of martyrs and we are proud of martyrs.”
The Hamas official adds that the “occupation of the Palestinian territories” must end. Does this mean the destruction of Israel? “Yes, of course,” he replies.
“Israel’s existence is meaningless. Israel’s presence causes pain, blood and tears. This is Israel, not us. We are victims of aggression. So no one should blame us for what we do,” concludes Gazi Hamad.
