In Turkey, four people died and several others were injured in a gas explosion in the city of Torbali (Izmir province).
A gas explosion at a restaurant in western Turkey on Sunday killed four people and injured several others, local officials said.
“Four of our fellow citizens lost their lives and a considerable number were injured, some of them in a critical condition.“, said Izmir Provincial Governor Suleiman Elban.

The mayor of the town of Dorballi, where the explosion occurred, reported the same number of deaths on private television channel NTV, with the number of injured estimated at 20, including 10 seriously.
Officials said the explosion may have been caused by a gas cylinder.
Images broadcast by Turkish television channels showed facades of several buildings partially blown off by the blast.
