Emmys 2024 LIVE: Succession leads nominations ahead of red carpet show

The 75th Emmy Awards will finally be held on Monday (January 15) after a four-month delay.

Two hours before tonight's ceremony, stars will grace the red carpet, starting at 3pm PT/6pm ET.

The annual celebration of the year's best TV shows takes place half a year after the nominations are announced in July.

While the ceremony was scheduled to take place in September, it was postponed due to the Hollywood writers and actors strikes that brought the industry to a standstill last year.

The show with the most nominations is Succession, the fourth and final season which aired on HBO last year. Fellow HBO dramas The last of us And White lotus It was also heavily nominated, while the final season of Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso received the most nominations in the comedy categories.

What time does the Emmys red carpet start?

Before the ceremony, which begins at 5 PM PT/8 PM ET, all the stars will walk the red carpet to mingle with interviewers and pose for photos. In a way, I like to equate the red carpet with the NFL halftime show.
