Exclusive: After all five episodes were made available on Tuesday, Marvel Studios announced sound echo It debuted at #1 on Disney+ and Hulu. The series marked several firsts for Marvel's offering: the first TV-MA series developed at the studio, the first time every episode was made available to subscribers simultaneously, and the first time an entire Marvel series became available on both platforms at the same time. .
It's also the first show under the Marvel Spotlight banner, which the studio describes as a platform to bring more character-centric stories to the screen, with an emphasis on street-level stakes across the larger MCU continuity. The series is gaining recognition from the Indigenous and Deaf communities for its representation on and off screen. Dominic Patten of Deadline praised the show, saying it was exactly what the studio needed right now.

sound echo It follows Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) as Wilson Fisk's criminal empire pursues her. When the journey brings her back home, she must confront her family and her legacy. Also starring are Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Graham Greene and Vincent D'Onofrio, who returns to the villainous role of Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin.

The series' episodes are directed by Sidney Freeland and Catriona McKenzie.
