Denzel Washington He says he immediately turned to God after Chris Rock Oscar slap – that’s partly why he called a villain when chatting with him will Smith.
The legendary actor clarified what he meant on Saturday when he told Smith, “In your extreme moments, be careful, that’s when the devil comes for you.” It was during a leadership summit with the author and the pastor TD JaxDW was invited to speak about his faith.
According to reports, the topic of the Oscars was brought up quite clearly – Jax said it was as if Denzel had fought World War II… to which he responded by saying, it was absolutely necessary.
Denzel quotes with this… “There is a saying: When the devil ignores you, you know you’re doing something wrong. The devil says, ‘Oh, no, leave him alone.'” It’s my favourite. “
During the commercial break, Will Smith is pulled aside and calmed by Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry, who beckon him to ignore the matter. Will seems to be wiping tears from his eyes as he sits with Jada, as Denzel comforts Jada and Will’s actor by his side. pic.twitter.com/uDGVnWrSS2

He adds, “Conversely, when the devil comes to you, it may be because you tried to do something right. And for whatever reason the devil had seized him that night.” Denzel also explains that others were quick to step in and take care of Will as well – who apparently felt he needed spiritual advice – including Tyler Perry …who prayed with them both.
Denzel refused to reveal what exactly was said between the trio, but said this… “There but for God’s sake, go either of us. Who are we to condemn? I don’t know all the entrances and exits but I know the only solution is prayer.”
Later in the panel interview, Denzel reportedly talked about the idea of just sitting – which he told…
DW described the moment immediately following, “I couldn’t sit in my seat. Impossible to sit in my seat. It’s just not me.” This was immediately apparent, because Denzel was cast between Chris and Will in the immediate aftermath.
As you may have guessed by now, Denzel is very religious…he often refers to his Christian faith – and it seems to have been useful on Sundays, especially since he shout out to During his acceptance speech, when he’s in tears he kinda doesn’t apologize.
Of course, since then… the guy has quit the academy Amid a lot of finger-pointing about his survival, he still has some sort of punishment ahead in the next few weeks regardless. Meanwhile, rock music has been relatively silent, barely talking about it at length.
