Crash Team Rumble release date and closed beta confirmed

Activision has announced the release date and closed beta details for Crash Team Rumble.

The 4v4 multiplayer game will be released on June 20th on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One.

A closed beta will also take place from April 20-24 for players who pre-order the game.

The beta will include five characters – Crash, Coco, Tawna, Neo Cortex, and Dingodile – and three maps.

Crash Team Rumble will cost $29.99 for the Standard Edition and $39.99 for the Deluxe Edition.

The Standard Edition will include the game, access to the closed beta (for those who pre-order) and the Premium Battle Pass for Season 1.

The Deluxe Edition will also include the above, plus the Premium Battle Pass for Season 2, the 25-tier Instant unlock for Season 1 and the Digital Proto Pack, which includes ‘Blocky’ skins and equippable items.

The latest game will feature a roster of Crash Bandicoot series heroes and villains, each falling into one of three roles – Blocker, Booster, or Scorer.

Players have to work together to get the most wumpa fruit in their drop zone, while preventing their opponents from doing the same.

Each character has their own unique impact powers, which means players will have to choose the ones best suited to help their team.

Activision has also confirmed that the game will include cross-platform play.

Crash Team Rumble is developed by Toys for Bob, the studio behind Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.
