A new world map shared by Beijing shows that 90% of the South China Sea will be part of China’s sovereignty. Neighboring countries consider this card illegal and describe it as ridiculous.

- The Chinese map is 1,500 km. For China, this line is based on historical maps. The line starts at Hainan Island in southern China and passes through the exclusive maritime zones of Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. This is a new provocation in the area.
