Chelsea Handler shaded her ex-boyfriend Joe Coy on Sunday night while hosting the 2024 Critics' Choice Awards, and she mocked the truth. He threw his writing team under the bus During his monologue at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.

After the Chelsea Lately presenter joked during the awards ceremony that she was “throwing” Martin Scorsese like “little Italian meatballs” and the audience laughed, she said: “Thank you for laughing about that.” Written by my book.

The dig was very well received, with all the stars in the audience cheering even louder for Handler after commentary.

Coy was widely criticized for blaming writers for the jokes that bombed when he hosted the Golden Globe Awards last week.

When people didn't laugh at the time, the 52-year-old comedian said: “Like I said, I didn't write all of this. Someone else did.”

He also said, “I wrote some of these, and they're the ones you laugh at.”

Coy has since admitted that some of his jokes weren't right, particularly his mockery of Taylor Swift, which the pop star apparently didn't like.

However, the comedy “Joy Koy: In His Elements” also took a dig at the “marshmallow” celebrities in the room, who apparently couldn't take the joke.

“I just come from a different time. I see the changes that are happening. I understand that, but my God, can we laugh at ourselves?” He recently said on stage during a show, per Variety.

Cowie didn't address Handler's comment on social media, so it's unclear if he thinks his ex is “soft” as well. His representative did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment.

Despite the injection, the former couple appear to have remained “great friends” following their July 2022 split.
