Captain America and Black Panther face off at the premiere of 1943: Rise of Hydra

Epic's State of Unreal keynote opened with a surprise: a first look at 1943: Rise of Hydra The new Marvel game from writer-director Amy Hennig, best known for her work on the Marvel film series unknown Commercial franchise. It features a “cast” of playable characters including Captain America and Black Panther, and is described as a “narrative-driven action-adventure game.”

Here's how Marvel describes the setting:

As the game's story unfolds, players will assume the role of four central characters: young Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America; Azzuri, T'Challa's grandfather and a World War II-era Black Panther; Gabriel Jones, an American soldier and member of the Howling Commandos; and Nunnally, a Wakandan spy stationed in occupied Paris.

1943 It was highlighted by Epic because it was built using the latest version of the Unreal Engine – 5.4 – and the trailer proved to be the visual showcase of the engine.

Hennig first announced her current studio, which falls under the Skydance Media umbrella, in 2019. And while we haven't seen a glimpse of any of the studio's work yet, it's clear the team has been busy: In 2021, the Marvel game was announced, and in Year 2022 A star Wars Title. Both games are part of a growing lineup of big-budget games from Disney, which has enlisted developers like Insomniac, Quantic Dream, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Respawn, Arkane and others to bring its gaming efforts to life.

1943: Rise of Hydra It is scheduled to be launched in 2025.
