On Wednesday, Spears’ new description studio recording on Twitter as “My first song in 6 years.” (The singles she released in 2020 were recorded around the time of her 2016 album “Glory.”)
In November, California Judge finished Guardianship of Spears, an arrangement in which her father and others outside their home exercise almost complete control over her personal life and finances. Spears, who was placed under guardianship in 2008 after exhibiting strange behavior in public, argued in court that it was “embarrassing” and “offensive” towards her.
Spears has also described being stripped of her sense of independence under tutelage. In addition to having to obtain permission for medical treatment, such as having an IUD removed, Spears states that she was forced to perform while ill. Soon after the guardianship was lifted, she said on Instagram that she was taking a break making musicPartly as a form of revenge.
“After what I’ve been through, I’m afraid of people and business!” Spears wrote in a comment since deletion the account. “They really hurt me! Not playing my music anymore is my way of saying ‘f-you’, meaning it only benefits my family by ignoring my real work.”
Although Spears later changed her mind, she wrote Wednesday that she she says to herself In an interview with the Guardian, John suggested that some hesitation still exists: “Every day to get rid of the painful bitterness and try to forgive myself and others for what might be hurting.”
“She was so far away. There is a lot of fear out there because she was betrayed so many times and not really in the public eye officially for that long,” he said. “We were holding her hand through the whole process, reassuring her that everything would be okay.”
John has collaborated with a wide range of artists in recent years, including Brandi Carlile, Nicki Minaj, and Yo-Yo Ma. The new “Hold Me Closer” tool reminds us of “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)duet 2021 with Dua Lipa mixes “Rocket Man”, “Kissing the Bride”, “Sacrifice” and “Where’s the Shura?”
In the Guardian interview, John noted that it relates to Spears’ trip in particular.
“It’s hard when you’re young. Britney was devastated. I was devastated when I woke up,” he said. “Now I have the experience to be able to advise and help people because I don’t want to see any artists in a dark place.”
On Twitter Spears describe it “So cool that I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time.”
“I’m kind of overwhelmed,” she added. “It’s such a big deal to me!!!”
