You can have it today Nice price or no dice Cayenne in any color you like, as long as it's sandy yellow. Let's see if this almost unoptioned color and hybrid drivetrain can explain the car's asking price.
The introduction of the Scion brand in 2003 was Toyota's attempt to attract a younger audience and car buyers. What happened instead was that a lot of old farts who were buying Toyotas simply switched to the cheaper Scions and started saying things like “Pay me outside, how about dat?“At inopportune times. A frustrated Toyota killed off its scene-stealing sub-brand in 2016, while at the same time adopting its best-selling models under the Toyota banner. The best of these was the FR-S, renamed the Toyota 86, the sister to Subaru's BRZ 2014 Scion FR-S We looked at what we got yesterday before Toyota took the Scythe to Scion, but it was carrying over a large number of parts — including a rebuilt engine — from the 2018 BRZ. While this led to a crazy mix of models, it just couldn't seem to account for the $15,500 asking price. The result was a huge loss of 90 percent without dice.

To be honest, this is probably more annoying for restaurant staff, and is likely the reason why companies keep charging the 20 percent service fee on our bills. However, you do it.
Someone must have done it themselves when they ordered today Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid 2012, with its bold Sand Yellow color over a black leather interior. The result is a car that looks like an inverted Gothic egg. This isn't the only semi-unique feature on Porsche's agenda. It also features the Cayenne's trademark exotic hybrid drivetrain and some knobby soft road tires mounted on aftermarket Rotiform wheels.
For its drivetrain, the Cayenne Hybrid borrows a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 from Audi's arsenal and pairs it with an electric motor that makes 380 horsepower and an impressive 430 pound-feet of torque. That makes it just as quick as a naturally aspirated V8-powered Cayenne, although it carries about 400 pounds more weight. The additional weight is the cost of the hybrid system, which consists of the engine between the Audi's six and the eight-speed Tiptronic transmission, all the necessary wiring and more robust electrics for the gas engine's stop/start system, and a 288-volt nickel-metal hydride battery located under a raised floor in the trunk.
The upside is dramatically improved fuel economy over any other Cayenne, minus the dirty diesel, and a very smooth driving experience as the electric motor can power the car up to 37 mph in short bursts before the gas engine kicks in.
According to the ad, this Cayenne has been “tastefully modified” and updated with improved rear canopy mechanics and the aforementioned wheel/tire combination. The only negatives noted in the ad are some small scratches and dings to the bodywork and the Droopy Dog headline on the back.
Other than that, this Porsche doesn't seem to show 137,000 miles and over a decade of use. An in-person inspection will be needed to ensure all the buttons and switches work – and there are plenty of them – but photos show solid upholstery and plastics in the cabin. It's also new enough to have a reasonably large infotainment screen and built-in navigation.
However, the real reason the car is so popular is that it was spotted and tagged by Doug DeMuro on social media due to its rare color. Other benefits include a clean title and good fuel economy. The asking price for this rare car is $16,000.
