Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock delighted her fans on Monday morning when she made a surprise appearance on TV and talked about turning 60 just one year after the death of her partner Bryan Randall.
The Speed actress, who celebrated her milestone birthday on July 26, appeared on the Today show after recording a special video message for her good friend and TV host Hoda Kotb, who celebrated her 60th birthday on August 9.
Bullock, who sadly lost her partner Brian to ALS on August 5 last year, admitted she was feeling “so tired” but also described her new contract as “so amazing” as she spoke live to the camera from her lavish Los Angeles home.
Her letter began: “Hoda, Hoda, Hoda, Hoda… I have prepared many wonderful and funny things for you, for this letter, which I will do my best to accomplish, but as you know, girl, I am very tired!”
“Tired because I had to go up that mountain before you got there so I could check out the terrain and see what things looked like, you know, just get a feel for it so I could give you information.”

The actress sadly lost her partner, Bryan Randall, just over a year ago when he passed away from ALS.
“It’s weird, because people want to make us feel scared about what it might look like when we get there,” Bullock continued. “But it turned out to be so cool, it’s amazing.”
Then I went on to use a certain word several times which was omitted: “Therefore [muted] Like you – can we say [muted] In the morning? Because I know you can say that in the afternoon, right? You can definitely say that at night and on a live stream, but [muted] I know you can’t say that.
Kotb and her co-host Jenna Bush Hager couldn’t stop laughing when Sandra continued, “But when you get to the top of the mountain where you’re ready to go, you’re allowed to say that because it doesn’t matter anymore, everything is amazing because you made it that way.”
“Thank you for being such an amazing person to so many people. What you do for a living and how you have to change your appearance every day, how you act kindly even when it’s not what’s expected of you, how you are with the people you care about and how you keep them safe, and who you are as a human being.”
“We are so lucky to have you, especially your kids. Happy birthday my dear friend. Thank you for letting me be in your circle, I feel so grateful and you have set up your own bar here, so we can look at the view, it is so beautiful, but I need you here, happy birthday,” she added, before blowing her a kiss.
As she returned to Kotb’s live feed from the Plaza, the mother of two commented, “Wow, that’s too much, it’s really too much,” to which Bush Hager replied, “I know, but don’t you love what she said about navigating the terrain and how beautiful it is?”
“The reason I have Halle and Hope is because when I was looking for inspiration from someone who was a mother at my age, Sandra Bullock came up and I called her and said, ‘Tell me about motherhood,’ and she said, ‘It’s the best decision I’ve ever made,’ and from that moment on, she paved the way for these two,” Kotb recalled, referring to her daughters who were in the crowd.
Bullock is a mother to two children, Louis, 14, and Laila, 11, whom she adopted in 2010 and 2015, respectively.
Hoda Kotb was delighted to receive a personal video message from Sandra on the occasion of her 60th birthday.

Last month, the Miss Kong actress was reported to be “doing well” and focusing on her children as she enters a new decade – nearly a year after the death of her partner.
Bullock dated Randall from 2015 until his death at age 57 in August 2023 — with the actress calling him “the love of my life.”
A source close to Bullock’s girlfriend Jennifer Aniston, 55, said, the people“She’s fine now. Her kids are great. She’s so happy to be a mom.
“Her friends gave her the support she needed during and after his illness. She is grateful for all the love. Everyone helped lift her spirits after Brian’s passing.”
