2022 PGA Championship Leaderboard: Live coverage, Tiger Woods score, golf results today in Round Two

It was a mixed bag for some of the world’s best players in the first round of the 104th PGA Championship at Southern Hills. Two-time PGA Championship winner Rory McIlroy jumped to the top of the leaderboard with a 5-under-65 lead, but not all of them were as lucky as the Northern Irish.

Four of the world’s top five players have accumulated over-the-top rounds; Among those was the best player in the game this year, Scotty Scheffler, who signed 1 on 71 to sit six on the pace. He’s on vacation Friday morning alongside Colin Morikawa and John Ram, both of whom also struggled on the first 18 holes.

While the trio couldn’t handle the tough afternoon conditions in the Southern Hills, Justin Thomas confirmed. The world No. 9 started his week with a 3-under-67, the best opening round of his career in the PGA Championship. He also got off to a hot start in the second round. McIlroy, Thomas and others will be looking to separate themselves from the pack while names like Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth will try to find success.
