The Italian yard Sanlorenzo yesterday has launched the second yacht in their 52Steel line and named her KD. Ceremony was held at La Spezia shipyard on March 24th.

KD is a 52-metre steel-hulled displacement yacht, with exterior styling by Officina Italiana Design and interiors by Tiziana Vercellesi. This superyacht combines refined elegance with the latest technical innovation in only 500 tons. Accommodation is for 12 guests in 5 staterooms - owner's suite, 2 double rooms and 2 Pullman berths, while the crew quarters is for 9 people.

Key features include a transparent pool on the main deck, which allows the light to pass through to the area under it, an 8-metre tender garage with the ability to convert into a beach club and capacious foredeck seating area.

The yacht is powered by twin 1,900hp engines with a top speed of 18 knots and cruising speed of 16 knots. When switched to economic mode at 11 knots, the range will be 4,400nm with fuel tanks capacity of approximately 55,000 litres.
