BThe Russian president, tight-lipped since the start of the Ukraine invasion eight months ago, made several statements to reporters on Friday after returning from Astana, where he met his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a regional summit.
In particular, he declared that he was “doing everything right” in Ukraine, while Russian forces have suffered multiple setbacks and have been losing ground in recent weeks; Even in illegally annexed territories. That’s the case around the city of Kherson, where Putin didn’t want to let go when the pro-Russian governor asked residents to leave the area on Thursday.
