“Investigators believe that the suspect wanted to disappear due to family issues and his fake death,” local police said on Monday.
Police described them as having “decided to look online for a woman who resembled a German-Iraqi woman, kill her and leave the body for the suspect”.
The young suspect had been in contact with several potential targets before the murder, “through several social network accounts that looked like her, making false promises and encouraging them to meet her.” As a result, he had relationships with many young women, police said.
An appointment is made with one of them, the prospective victim, on August 16. According to an investigator quoted by the daily Süddeutsche Zeitung, he looked “unmistakably” like the suspect, with long brown hair, a dark complexion and a heavily contoured face.
The suspect allegedly traveled to the Heilbronn area (south) with his accomplice “to take the victim to his home in the future”.
On the way back, the victim was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to stab wounds inflicted by “several” people in the forest. The accused criminals then proceeded to Ingolstadt, where the body was found in the vehicle on the evening of 16 August.
