If you do not use social networks, you can stay at the Swedish The Checkout Suite for free

The Bellora hotel in Gothenburg, Sweden, has launched a curious initiative to combat social addiction and support time that you can spend with your family, friends or loved one, and not in front of your smartphone screen. The Check out Suite is the world's first suite, the price of which depends on the time spent on social networks. And in case you don’t connect to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or Twitter, your stay at the hotel can be completely free.

To calculate how much time you spend on various social networks, the room has a special smart lamp called The Skärmfri, which measures the use of a mobile phone and gradually changes the lighting. After exceeding the recommended time in front of the screen, that is, 30 minutes a day per person, the light becomes more and more red, and the price of accommodation rises at a speed of two euros per minute: from zero to a total price of 240 euros.

Maybe it's time to get to know the city of Gothenburg and at the same time learn how to control your own digital dependency?
