Gisele Bündchen lists NYC apartment for $11.7 million
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen will probably move into their new digs soon. The couple got a new place in the Big Apple. Two years ago they’ve purchased a five-bedroom apartment in a luxury limestone skyscraper by Robert A.M. Stern in the coveted New York’s Tribeca neighborhood for $20 million.
The long-anticipated building should be finally completed in the near future. Now, the celebrity couple wants to unload one apartment from their lavish property collection.
They are selling their swanky four-bedroom, 3,310-square-foot apartment in the sleek One Madison tower for $13.95 million. Bündchen and Brady purchased it for $11.7 million in 2014. Actually, it’s a second attempt to sell the gorgeous apartment. The couple has already listed it for $17.25 million back in September 2016. For some time they also had been renting it for a cool $40,000 a month.
Now the Brazilian supermodel and five-time Super Bowl champion chopped the price and put in on market with a more buyer-friendly price tag. A nearly $4 million discount should accelerate the process. Although the couple reportedly made over $80 million last year, they for sure need to replenish their account. No doubt, they will invest a whopping sum of money into their new Tribeca condo to make it as astonishing as the former one.
Located on the 48th floor of the Manhattan's most luxurious residential buildings, the full-floor condo has some of the most gorgeous views in the city. The floor-to-ceiling windows look out over Madison Square Park, the Empire State Building, and much of Lower and Midtown Manhattan.
“There’s an overall dynamic that you experience there. One thing that is extraordinary about this apartment is that each set of windows perfectly frames individual landmarks in New York,” realtor Michael Bolla of Sotheby’s International said in an interview.
The elite building at 23 East 22nd Street boasts a giant pool set within sensational marble-clad walls, a state-of-the-art gym, and a steam room overlooking city landscape. These high-end amenities seem to meet all requirements of the pampered residents. But Tribeca building has a significant advantage. It’s more family-friendly: the luxury tower at 70 Vestry, overlooking the Hudson River, boasts separate kids’ pool, which was definitely very important for the power couple as they have two children together.
Living in this house is like living in a five-star hotel. The residents can take advantage of a 24/7 private residents-only club offering an elevated level of personal service, including butler and concierge services. There’s also a gorgeous private dining room and catering kitchen that residents can use for parties, and screening room. With such high-end amenities you literally do not need to leave the building if you look for evening entertainment.
A private elevator brings you to the bronze double doors, which open to a loft-like open-plan living, dining and kitchen space with sleek wooden cabinetry and a marble island. Some highlights of the residence include white oak plank floors, oversized doors, a master bedroom with his and hers closets, and a master bath with a soaking tub and custom double vanities.
The ultra-modern apartment was designed by architect Peter Marino, who is the go-to architect for luxury brands including Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton, and is known for his artistic and modern luxury projects, and Danish designer Thomas Juul-Hansen. Marino put aside his eccentric aesthetic and created a warm, friendly environment. The apartment is filled with cosy upholstered couches, wood tables and soft wall treatments.
The unique design makes the most of every inch of this 3,310-square-foot space, incorporating a harmonious combination of materials, finishes and interiors resulting in a spectacular residential environment.
It’s unlikely that the couple will make the new Tribeca condo their primary residence since it’s more than three hours away from the Patriots facilities. But it’s perfect for weekend getaways to New York City in the offseason.
Gisele Bündchen is a Brazilian model and actress. She became known in the USA primarily through the fashion shows and advertising campaigns of the US underwear brand Victoria's Secret. In 2009, she married the US-American football player Tom Brady.
