Oasis have announced their long-awaited reunion tour, 15 years after the infamous backstage feud between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.
The Manchester-based band, one of the defining rock bands of the 1990s, split in 2009 after a violent brawl in Paris and have not played together since.
In a long-awaited message, the band announced a run of 14 shows in the UK and Ireland next summer.
“The guns have fallen silent, the stars have aligned, the long wait is over, come and see, the concert will not be televised,” the band said.
Shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin have been confirmed as Oasis’ only shows in Europe next year. You can find details of how to get tickets here.
There have been a number of hints in recent months, including a surprise interview last week where Noel offered some rare praise for his younger brother. He and Liam have both enjoyed successful solo careers since their split – Liam as a singer-songwriter and Noel with his band High Flying Birds.

John Lennon once said that The Beatles were “more popular than Jesus.” It may be a controversial claim, but could it be true that Oasis’ comeback will be bigger than Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour? One music expert thinks so:
Demand for Oasis concert tickets ‘will absolutely dwarf’ Taylor Swift concert ticket demand, says music expert
Demand for tickets to an alleged Oasis reunion show will “completely dwarf” that seen for Taylor Swift’s tour, a music expert has said. Noel and Liam Gallagher look set to announce a long-awaited, shock reunion tour on Tuesday, August 27, 15 years after the brothers’ infamous feud put the band on hiatus. If they do announce a comeback, former music journalist and DJ Kevin McMenus believes the fight for seats will be bigger than any artist has ever seen. He told ITV News: “Taylor Swift is obviously the big deal this summer, but I think she’s going to completely dwarf that.”

Manchester pledges to throw a citywide party to celebrate Oasis reunion
“I think Oasis are one of the most iconic Manchester bands of the modern era and obviously we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that this can work and that they’ll be able to play in Manchester at a fantastic concert,” she told the British news agency.
“And I think it’s really great. It’s great for the city, the city has changed a lot since the last time Oasis got together, and hopefully it’s going to be a lot better on the world stage, but we’ll still be really happy to host the Burnage lads when they get together at Heaton Park (which is run by the council).”
“I think the whole city is going to be excited next summer, and I think we’re going to see a lot of events and activities happening alongside this, and I really think they’re going to celebrate this moment,” she added.
“So I think we’ll make sure to have a good party all over town for people to enjoy.”

Al Waha fans worried about ticket prices and whether reconciliation will continue
He said, “You wonder if they’re going to make it through the round, how are they going to train? There’s been a lot of little infractions with them, you wonder, like, is the old stuff going to come back again?”
“But no, at the end of the day, at the moment, it’s very positive, and yes, that’s what people want. That’s what Britain might want right now, because everyone is a bit depressed and they don’t have a lot of money.
