ForbesNYT ‘Connections’ Today Help Hints Answers Sunday, July 14

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I did, and it was capped off by watching the best team in the tournament win Euro 2024. A well-deserved win (although I will remind everyone here that Scotland beat Spain 2-0 last year).

today The New York Times Links Hints and answers coming right away.

How to play Connections

in LinksYou will be presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to arrange them into four groups of four words by finding the connections between them. The groups can be things like horror movie series, a type of act, or a rapper.

There is only one solution to each puzzle, and you will have to be careful when it comes to words that may fall into more than one category. You can mix up the words to perhaps help you see the connections between them.

Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to understand, the blue and green group is in the middle, and the purple group is usually the hardest to understand. The purple group often includes wordplay, so keep that in mind.

Choose four words that you think match each other and press “Submit”. If you guess wrong, you lose a life. If you’re close to getting the right combination, you may see a message telling you that you’re one word away from getting the right combination, but you’ll still need to figure out which word to swap.

If you make four mistakes, the game is over. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen with the help of some hints, and if you’re really struggling, here’s today’s tip: Links Answers.

today Links The answers are…

  • Yellow group – consider it correct (accept, believe, buy, trust)
  • Green Group – Front (BLUFF, FRONT, SHAM, SHOW)
  • Blue Group – TV Security Methods (Base, Stand, Holder, Mount)
  • Purple Collection – Liquor Bottle Sizes (Fifth, Handle, Liter, Pint)

My fourth consecutive win brings my overall winning streak to eight.

Selecting PINT and LITER in the bottom row was enough to make purple stand out. BLUFF and SHAM were my entry points for green, as were ACCEPT and BELIEVE for yellow. This made blue, which I had come to associate with (at least as a hardware material), the winner.
