Maura Tierney Joins ‘Law & Order’ as Guest Star for Season 24

ER Alumna Maura Tierney returns to NBC, joining the cast of Law and order As a new regular character in the upcoming twenty-fourth season.

The announcement comes after series regular Cameron Manheim departed from her role as Lieutenant Kate Dixon at the end of season 23.

No details about Tierney’s character have been revealed except that she will play a new lieutenant in the Dick Wolf series.

Manheim left the series after Sam Waterston announced his departure in February as District Attorney Jack McCoy. He was later joined by Tony Goldwyn as the new District Attorney.

Law and order It is a procedural and legal drama series that gives viewers a look at a case inspired by real crimes “taken from the headlines” from the perspective of police and prosecutors. It is the longest-running law enforcement series on television.

Dick Wolf is the creator and executive producer. Rick Eid, Pamela Weschler, Alex Hall, Arthur Forney, and Peter Jankowski are executive producers. Law and order It is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.

The new season premieres October 3 at 8 p.m. on NBC and the following day on Peacock.
